This is a Centec 2A mill with both the horizontal and vertical milling heads. It bears the serial number 2010 which potentially dates it to the early 1960’s.
Also included are a selection of accessories

- Selection of horizontal cutters
The power feed gearbox has two pairs of gears enabling different feed rates to be achieved.
There is also a copy of the original handbook for this machine.
The motors for the main drive and the power feed are both 3 phase, and there is an inverter unit that allows the mill to be run from a normal domestic 240V single phase supply. Note that during my pre-sale inspection of this machine, the relay in the switch for the main drive occasionally took a second or so to engage – this switch may benefit from being upgraded to a modern 3 phase DOL switch, similar to that which has recently been fitted to control the power feed motor.
There isn’t a draw bar to pull the horizontal spindle into its drive spindle but it should be straight forward to fabricate something suitable.
