This is a British made Sharp ‘Universal’ Horizontal and Vertical Milling Machine. Both the horizontal and vertical spindles have a 1 1/8″ x 12TPI thread, with No 2 Morse Taper, allowing Myford collets to be used directly in the spindle. There is also a horizontal cutter arbor supported by a solid 2″ diameter over arm.
The approx 4 1/2″ x 16″ table can be moved longitudinally, cross ways and vertically via hand wheels. The table can also be swung from the central position by approx 20 degrees.
The mill is powered by a Brook Crompton 240V single phase motor.
Also included is a Clarkson collet holder & collets plus three Myford collets sizes 1/2″, 3/8″, 1/4″ & nose holder. There is a 3/8″ whitworth draw bar for the vertical spindle, this is too long for use with the horizontal spindle, so you will need to fabricate one to secure the cutter arbor.
