Sorry, now sold

This is a Myford ML7-R lathe with the bed serial number KR156647M which means it would have been manufactured towards the latter part of the date range from 1976 to 1988. The serial number of the quick change gearbox is QC157590.
The micrometer dials to the cross slide and top slide are metric as designated by the ‘M’ suffix to the serial number. The machine is fitted with two axis digital read out by Machine DRO, meaning that both imperial and metric measurements to the travel of the carriage and cross slide can be taken with the ease of just reading numbers off the display unit screen which is so much easier (and accurate) than reading the micrometer dials!
The machine also has a screw cutting dial indicator fitted and it comes mounted on an original Myford machine stand with riser blocks and deep tray.
It is powered by a single phase 240V motor by Brook Crompton Parkinson Motors, and the switch unit allows forward and reverse operation of the spindle.
The machine benefits from having had a full strip down service and inspection as part of the process of preparing it for sale. It has brand new vee belts on the primary drive motor to countershaft and secondary drive countershaft to spindle, plus a new spindle wick and wiper felt. During my inspection the movement of the carriage along the bed felt very consistent, with little tightening when approaching the right hand end which might otherwise indicate some wear to the bed. The condition of the lead screw nuts can be seen in the final photo.
Also included are the following accessories
- 3 jaw chuck by HBM with inside and outside jaws plus chuck key
- quick change tool post and 7 tools holders

Note that the gearbox has been drained of oil, ready for shipping. It will need to be refilled as part of commissioning this lathe in your workshop.
Please review the photos and watch the video to assess the condition of this machine.
Collection in person of this lathe is available. Alternatively, shipping to GB non-remote postcodes with Monday to Friday anytime delivery is available for the price given in the listing. If shipping to Highland/Remote/NI postcodes is required or Saturday or AM / PM delivery, please contact me for the additional cost. Due to its high centre of gravity, the lathe will be removed from the stand for shipping and they will both be bolted onto a pallet for delivery, so you will need lifting equipment to carefully remount the lathe back onto the stand when you commission it in your workshop.
Further information can be seen in the following video and the two photo galleries below.
