This is a Myford Super 7 lathe bearing the serial number SK162713 which dates the year of manufacture to between 1985 and 1988. Power cross feed is fitted as standard to this lathe. The serial number of the quick change gearbox is QC162233.
It has an induction hardened bed and the consistency of the bed is excellent along its full length.
The micrometer dials to the cross slide and top slide are imperial, as is the leadscrew handle and rule markings to the tailstock spindle barrel. There is also a screw cutting dial indicator fitted.
There is a Newton Tesla CL750 high performance variable speed control unit to provide near silent operation the 0.75KW motor by BFM of Sheffield.
It has brand new vee belts on the primary drive motor to countershaft and secondary drive countershaft to headstock, plus a new spindle wick and wiper felt.

- 4 1/2″ Myford V1106 catch plate

Note that the gearbox has been drained of oil, ready for shipping. It will need to be refilled as part of commissioning this lathe in your workshop.
