Myford ML7 lathe K52766

Sorry, now sold.

This is a Myford ML7 lathe bearing the serial number K53766 which dates the year of manufacture to between 1960 and 1963.

The micrometer dials to the cross slide and top slide are imperial.

The paint work to the bed isn’t the best. The enamel paint finish to some batches of machines coming out of the Beeston works dried out over time resulting in cracking and flaking of the final layer of grey revealing the cream high build primer and this has happened with the bed of this lathe. Please review the photos and video carefully to inspect the cosmetic condition of the bed.

The machine benefits from having had a full strip down and inspection as part of the process of preparing it for sale. It has brand new vee belts on the primary drive motor to countershaft and secondary drive countershaft to headstock, plus a new wiper felt. For good measure, all of the oil nipples have been replaced as well. The condition of the lead screw nuts can be seen in the final photo.

It is fitted with a 240V single phase 0.55kW motor allowing it to be operated from a normal domestic supply

Also included are the following accessories….
