Dore Westbury Mk1 vertical mill

Sorry, now sold

This is a Dore Westbury Mk1 vertical milling machine, fitted with power feed to the X axis of the table.

It is powered by a single phase 250W 1420 RPM motor.

Also with it is a Clarkson collet chuck plus drawbar, plus a slitting saw arbor and several other drawbars.

When commissioning this item in your workshop, please note the following points

  • You will need a suitably sized circular hole in the bench it is mounted on to allow the column height to be raised or lowered
  • The oil in the gearbox of the power cross feed has been drained, so it will need to be refilled.
  • There are two pins in the vertical holes to the underside of the gear housing at the top of the spindle which are used to engage / disengage the spindle gearing. I’m unsure if these pins are meant to be removed and used in the horizontal holes when the gears are engaged or if separate pins should be used; if this is the case, it should be a simple task to turn something suitable to use.

Collection in person of this item is available. Alternatively shipping to GB non-remote postcodes with Monday to Friday economy anytime delivery is available for the price given in the listing.
