Myford Super 7B lathe SK170047

Sorry, now sold

This is the Myford Super 7 lathe serial number SK170047 with power cross feed, induction hardened bedways and fitted with the quick change gearbox serial number QC170436. The makers plate on the change gear guard gives the year of manufacture as 1999, making this lathe to be one of the more recent Beeston produced Super 7 machines and it features final enhancements such as integral cover locking mechanisms to the belt and gear guards.

There is also a thread dial indicator fitted to the carriage, and a Dickson quick change tool post on the top slide.  The micrometer dials to the cross slide and top slide are numbered 0 to 90, indicating this is an imperial lathe.

It has a Brook Crompton Motors 1425RPM, 240V motor with a Myford control switch allowing forward / reverse operation.

It has brand new vee belts on the primary drive motor to countershaft and secondary drive countershaft to spindle, a new spindle lubrication wick and a new wiper felt.
