This is a Wabeco D3000E lathe made by of Walter Blombach GmbH of Remscheid, Germany. The ‘E’ suffix denotes that the machine features electronic speed control for both the spindle and the carriage travel speed, meaning that combinations of spindle rotation and tool advance rates are adjustable until the desired finish for a workpiece is achieved.
The lathe is powered by a single phase 240V motor, and there are safety switches to the chuck guard, foot switch and adjacent to the main control switch.
