This is a Warco GH1224 gear head lathe serial number 040187 and a date stamp of March 2004 on the makers plate. It is powered by a single phase 1.5kw 240V motor.
The spindle accepts D1-4 mounted chucks and further information about this lathe is as follows …
- Centre height 150mm
- Distance between centres approx 700mm
- Spindle taper 5MT
- Spindle bore 38mm
- Tailstock taper 3MT
The lathe needs a minimum footprint of approximately 1400mm length x 600mm wide, with a bit of extra space needed on the left hand end to remove the gear cover. The handles to the handwheels to the carriage and tailstock add about another 100mm.

Note that the catch on the right hand cabinet door is broken. The machine has at some point been exposed to some moisture in the air in the workshop in which it was stored, the bed was well protected with oil, however the rear of the tray, handles to the tailstock and the four jaw chuck all have some evidence of a bit of rust to their surfaces.

The item will be bolted onto an oversized pallet for delivery, unfortunately it is too large for a standard pallet, hence the higher delivery charge.
