This is a Myford Speed 10 lathe with serial number VS167757 which, according to the makers plate on the gear cover, was manufactured in 1995. Being a Speed 10 lathe, it has a two speed countershaft drive, rather than the single speed found on similar looking ML10 lathes.
The headstock has roller bearings to the spindle, plus it has a long T-slotted cross slide, dog clutch on the leadscrew and a graduated handle to the leadscrew end.
It is fitted with a single phase 240V, 370W 1425 RPM motor by Brook Crompton Motors.
It also has a brand new vee belt fitted to the secondary drive countershaft to headstock pulley. The micrometer dials on the cross slide and top slide go from 0 – 90, indicating it is an imperial lathe.

- 4″ Myford / Toolmex 3 jaw self centering chuck with internal & external jaws, plus chuck key
- 2MT chuck plus key for use in the tailstock
- 4 way tool turret plus original tool holder. Note that one face of the 4 way tool turret has been opened out slightly to accept a larger sized tool.
