Sorry, now sold
This is a Myford 254S lathe with a metric screw cutting range from 5.0mm to 0.25mm. The serial number of the lathe is ZS160408 which dates the year of manufacture from between 1984 to 1989.
Power to the lathe is via a standard 240V supply through an inverter to a 3 phase motor. The inverter controls allow the spindle speed to be easily varied and the direction of rotation changed, plus it provides the safety cut off when either the chuck or gear guard are opened.
The lathe is mounted on a Myford stand, and there is a bespoke splash back as constructed by a former owner.
Included with this lathe are the following items
- 3 jaw chuck + key
- 4 jaw chuck + key
- lever operated collet chuck with 7 collets
- selection of change gears
- tailstock drill chuck
- fixed steady
- installation and operation manual
Collection in person of this item is available. The lathe is a heavy item, and I can assist with loading it into your van using an engine crane. Alternatively, if you live within approximately 4.5 hours drive time from me, I can deliver this item to you for the price given in the listing.
The headstock and gearbox have been drained of oil, so they will need to be refilled as part of commissioning this item in your workshop.
