Tom Senior M1 horizontal milling machine
With serial number M1 1947 shown on the plate fixed to the saddle and also stamped onto the main column
Fitted with a brand new 0.75kw 240V single phase motor by Crompton Greaves allowing operation from a standard domestic supply, rather than requiring 440V 3 phase as per the factory fitted motor.
Also fitted with brand new drive belts from the motor to countershaft, countershaft to spindle and to the table power feed drive.
The micrometer dials to the table wheels have metric graduations to them
Complete with a large selection of cutters and the original safety guard that mounts onto the support arm
Please review the photos and watch the video to assess the condition of this item. The penultimate photo shows the machine spec from its original sales pamphlet. The final photo shows the worm gear in the table that drives the power feed, to me it looks like there is hardly any wear to it.
Note that the oil bath for the table power feed worm gear has been drained for shipping, so you will need to refill it when commissioning this machine in your workshop.
