Sorry, machine now sold

This is a Myford ML7-R lathe bearing the serial number KR139191 which dates the year of manufacture probably to around the late 1970’s. The serial number of the quick change gearbox is QC138129.
The micrometer dials to the cross slide and top slide are imperial, as is the leadscrew handle and rule markings to the tailstock spindle barrel. There is also a screw cutting dial indicator fitted.
It is fitted with 2 axis DRO by Machine DRO providing both imperial and metric digital readout of travel of the carriage along the bed and movement of the cross slide.
It is powered by a Brook Crompton 240V single phase motor.
It has brand new vee belts on the primary drive motor to countershaft and secondary drive countershaft to headstock, plus a new spindle wick and wiper felt.
Also included are the following accessories….
- 3 jaw self centering chuck
- 7″ face plate
- 4 1/2″ Myford V1106 catch plate
- Quick change tool post with 2 tool holders
- MT2 drill chuck and fixed centre for use in the tailstock
Note that the gearbox has been drained of oil, ready for shipping. It will need to be refilled as part of commissioning this lathe in your workshop.
Please also note that to the mid-point to the rear of the bed there is a drill mark, possibly caused when fitted the DRO, this can be seen in the final photo, it does not have any impact to the travel of the carriage along the length of the bed.
